Madison Thompson thought the worst thing that would happen on prom night was being made fun of for the way she danced. She was wrong. Dead wrong.

A cruel prank leads to devastating consequences that leaves her feeling partly to blame. The question "What if?" haunts her waking hours and creates taunting nightmares.

Guilt is a heavy burden, and even Maddie's faith is slipping as she faces the biggest test of her life. Her friends don't understand and just want her to snap out of it. She's always been their rock, the sensible one.
Events lead her down a dark path until one event in the high school cafeteria forces her to choose.
Sit back and watch or stand up and do something. Her decision and more importantly the outcome impacts all of the students at Victory High.

S L Michaels lives in North Carolina with her husband, four children, a spoiled dog and grumpy cat. When she is not writing, she is spending time at the river enjoying her family and friends.

Her heart hurts for the struggles youth face today in a much-to-adult world, forcing them to grow up to quickly. She hopes through her characters teens will be able to relate her character's struggles to everyday life and look to Christ to build a strong foundation in faith to cope with whatever life brings.

She also writes under the pen name Savanna Grey. She is  the author of Coming Home, Playing For Keeps, Captured Heart, Conflicted Hearts and Taking Care of Business. Falling in the contemporary romance genre, her stories relate to real-life situations with the best imaginary friends you could ever have, according to author. Her passion for writing developed due to her love of reading. She looks forward to sharing her upcoming novels and hopes that you enjoy reading them as much as she does writing them.
